Admission Requirements
The following are required for admission to all programs at Summit Salon Academy – Gainesville:
- Proof of Education
- Proof of Age
- Enrollment Documents
- Application Fee
- Signed & Completed Enrollment Agreement
Additional verification, including an official translation and verification of credentials, will be required for all non-U.S. diplomas. Foreign diplomas must be translated and authenticated as equivalent to a high school diploma in the United States. Additionally, have evidence that verification of a foreign student’s high school diploma has been performed by an outside agency that is qualified to translate documents into English and confirm the academic equivalence to a U.S. high school diploma.
Verifying High School Diplomas
All students must have a verifiable High School Diploma or GED Certificate to enroll at Summit Salon Academy – Weirton.
Online diplomas or online GEDs are not accepted.
There is no appeal process for any diplomas or GEDs that cannot be verified.
Home School Diplomas are accepted if recognized by the state and issued under applicable West Virginia (or other state) requirements.
Summit Salon Academy – Weirton does not admit ability-to-benefit students.
If a student is admitted and later found to have submitted an invalid high school diploma or GED, they will be dismissed from the academy. The student may reapply only after providing valid documentation, such as a certified GED Certificate from an approved state testing center.
