Types of Financial Assistance
Summit Salon Academy – Weirton accepts grants, scholarships, and private loans as additional ways to help fund your education. Grants and scholarships are considered “gift aid” and do not need to be repaid, while loans are borrowed funds that must be repaid according to their terms.
If you have been awarded a grant, loan, or scholarship through an outside organization, our team will gladly work with you to apply those funds toward your tuition balance. We are here to support you in navigating your options and combining them with our flexible payment plans to make your education more affordable.
Grants
Grants may be awarded through federal, state, community, or private funding sources and are typically based on demonstrated financial need. Grants are considered “gift aid” and never need to be repaid. If you have been awarded a grant, our team will gladly assist you in applying those funds directly toward your tuition balance to help reduce your overall cost.
Scholarships
Scholarships are provided through various organizations, corporations, private donors, and sometimes directly through the school. Like grants, scholarships are considered “gift aid” and do not need to be repaid. Summit Salon Academy – Weirton proudly accepts scholarships to help students reduce their out-of-pocket costs.
Loans
Loans may be used to help cover educational expenses and are typically repaid over time with interest. Students may choose to secure loans through private lenders or other financial institutions. If you are using a loan to help fund your education, our team will assist you in applying those funds toward your tuition balance.
